B&D Transfer is a proud third‑generation company, founded in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1963 by Bob McDowell (Grandfather) and Dick McDowell (Uncle). What began as their vision to provide reliable transportation solutions has grown into a family tradition of service and dedication. In 1973, Chip McDowell (Father) took the helm and successfully led the company for more than four decades. Since 2017, the next generation led by Rob McDowell has continued that legacy, ensuring B&D Transfer remains rooted in its founding values.

From our beginnings in the Twin Cities metro, we have expanded to serve businesses across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and the Dakotas.
